South African Outreach Services

“We’re blessed to be a diverse community of people…”

At St Luke’s we are blessed to be a diverse community of people with backgrounds from all around the world. Our church body reflects our local community in Roseville, Lindfield and Killara and includes Australian, Chinese, Korean, Filipino and South African people.

As part of our effort to reach our community, we hold a quarterly South African Outreach church service in Afrikaans. We have noticed that large numbers of South Africans are migrating to Australia and are often eager and ready to join into a church family again. In our experience, an important part of successful immigration includes grounding yourself and your family in a church as soon as possible upon arrival. The typical pattern is for South Africans to attend an outreach service, meet our church family and then integrate into our regular morning worship service.

Our upcoming Afrikaans outreach service is on Sunday 10 December 2017 at 6pm, which is a Christmas Carols Service / “Kerssangdiens.”

You are invited join us for coffee and koeksisters, before and after the service.

All visitors are welcome every Sunday morning at 9:30am to our regular service.

The services are always at our church building – 28 Lord street, Roseville.
